It's time to hit the gym, trail, and the great outdoors! Time to get fit for summer!
Being fit means being healthy and happy, enjoying being in your own skin and getting the most out of life.
Here are some quick tips for getting and staying fit this summer:
1. Eat Right. The best workouts come when your eating habits are on-track. Make sure all of your meals include protein like chicken, fish, turkey or lean beef. Eat plenty of colorful vegetables. Have fruit for dessert.
2. Snack Right. Eat snacks that give you energy without spiking your blood sugar. Avoid high-carb snacks like granola bars, chips and pretzels. Instead, go for balanced snacks like a handful of nuts (any kind) or an ounce of protein with a small piece of fruit.
3. Be Committed to Your Success. Know that everything you do to stay healthy counts and is part of your commitment to having a fantastic life. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Show up for your workouts and do them with enthusiasm. Go outside with your loved ones and enjoy a walk or a game of ball. Be in the spirit of fitness and a fit body and all that comes with it will be yours!
