Whole Foods Market in Austin, TX Begins Selling The Caveman Diet

The Caveman Diet Book

I'm so excited!

The Caveman Diet is finally out on the shelves at Whole Foods Market in Austin, Texas.

Now Austinites can purchase a book for themselves or a friend while getting their Caveman Lunch from the Whole Foods salad bar.

The books currently on the shelves are all signed, so go pick one up for yourself or a friend. They sell for $24.99.

You can go to either the Whole Foods in downtown Austin or to the store near the Arboretum. Look for The Caveman Diet in the books section. The spine is dark blue with white writing.

I'm hoping that in the future, Whole Foods will begin sellng The Caveman Diet nationwide.

Sip Tip

Which Drinks Won't Give You a Gut?

We all know that eating too much can lead to a larger pants size, but eating too much isn't the only thing that can make you portly.

Drinking sugary and alcoholic drinks can also be a major culprit in weight gain.

We don't always think of what we drink as being part of our weight control issues, but those sodas and margaritas do add up.

Below are some slim alternatives to gut-building drinks like sodas.

Slimming Drinks

- Water (of course) - good with some lemon or lime

- Iced tea, unsweetened

- Sparkling water - try this with lemon or lime too

- Hot tea -- try green tea, jasmin and unsweetened Chai

- Caveman Soda (a small splash of fruit juice with a lot of sparkling water)

Why Cut the Calories From Your Drinks?

Did you know that drinking sodas and other high-calorie drinks can make you hungrier and prone to eat more?

The carbs in these drinks spike your insulin and make you feel like eating more than you normally would.

So when you drink sodas and sugary drinks, you're getting the calories from the drink plus potentially taking in extra calories from eating extra food -- a double negative when it comes to your waistline.

Turn the negative into a positive by filling up on the non-caloric healthy drinks above. Your pants will thank you.
